I agree with your basic statements but the market is one of perception. A negative perception can have a sizeable effect on a stock even if it is not well founded. Just the notion of competition from INTC scared many of the Networking stocks even though they certainly aren't getting into the systems or switching business. CNBC has a full time technology guy who just seems to report information. This was not an ad but it did say INTC wants a part of the business so watch out. The conference is next week so we'll see what they really want then. I think SGI is forming a base between 12-13 and then it should get a decent rally. Also I can't believe SUNW is not looking at SGI as a takeover candidate at these prices.
