bux, in a linear world your view would be correct. but if BellAtlantic was getting a "kickback" (which occurred under many circumstances - one reason Q was losing money on handsets versus Nok making money was that Q had too many convoluted sales agreements outstanding - Kyocera, I doubt will be under the same strain) on each Q phone sold versus none on each Nok phone. the incentive for the BellAtlantic is to sell the higher profit phones; especially since the cummulative difference bw Nok's 6100 offerings and Q's wasn't significant. i always make the mistake of assuming linear relationships; i.e., "the best technology wins because it will mean bigger sales" is sometimes relegated to fairyland.
