IDO Scores One Million cdmaOne Subscribers after Nine Months in
Service

January 25, 2000 (TOKYO) -- The cumulative total of subscribers to IDO Corp.'s cdmaOne
cellular phone service topped the one million mark as of Jan. 18, 2000, company officials
said.

Speaking to the press one day before the phone service's launch on April 14, 1999, Takeo
Tsukada, the then IDO president, said he was aiming for one million customers within one
year of the service's start. But cdmaOne's popularity means the goal has been achieved
almost three months earlier than hoped.

The nationwide service is operated jointly by IDO and DDI Corp.'s cellular phone group.
The partners' total number of cdmaOne subscribers stood at over 3.5 million as of the end
of 1999. They now hope to attract 10 million customers by the end of fiscal 2000 ending
March 2001.

IDO, DDI and KDD Corp. are scheduled to merge as of Oct. 1, 2000
