John et Mike,

I did not want to intimate that I made a ton of money in ADI. I just wanted to use the example of a poorly understood stock that has later flourished.

No one liked ADI in the Fall of 1998 ... and now everyone loves it (probably too much, IMHO). I guess that all I was trying to say is that it pays to pay attention to erstwhile good businesses when The Market deems them all but worthless.
