Marie: I also have a Bachelor of Science degree in Business/Finance. Iworked on Wall Street. My family owned a Brokerage House as well. We have personally taken a lot of new companies public, and I am an experienced investor with a satelite hook up to the markets. It's clear to me that many of you folks only want to year something if it makes you feel good about your favorite company. I own SLIC because I like the investment for its growth potential. The company is locates in my city and as a result I get good information about their progress. I also own shares in many other companies. This is business. I have no personal attatchment to any of my holdings. As soon as you learn to adopt this attitude about your investments you'll find yourself more succesful. For now I'm going to quit posting since I'm bored with all the crying. Good luck to everyone.
