Youngang XiaoChuck, <<Lots of people were favoring the insider - Herb.>>

Risking to disapoint my own expectation if someone else gets chosen (unless a guy with MUCH larger stature than Rob), my vote goes to Rob Herb. He's great, judging by his performance.

I think you guys may be wrong; this is getting interesting:

SAN FRANCISCO, Jan 25 (Reuters) - Advanced Micro Devices Inc., Intel Corp.'s (NasdaqNM:INTC - news) main rival in PC microprocessors, said that it will name a new president and chief operating officer later this afternoon.

A spokesman for the Sunnyvale, Calif.-based company declined to comment on who AMD will name, but he did acknowledge that the executive comes from outside the company. The company will host a conference call with press and analysts at 2:15 Pacific Standard Time (1715 EST).

AMD has been looking for a new president and chief operating officer since Atiq Raza abruptly resigned last July.
