Steve Harmon on Formus (from his 1/24/00 mailbag): siliconinvestor.com Mr. Harmon, I saw you on CNBC today discussing Formus Communications. Could you please let me know when their stock will be available for purchase on the stock market and what the expected price per share will be? Thank You! Linda Harmon: Formus (proposed symbol: FMUS) may go public the week of Feb. 14, and wants to raise $150 million through DLJ. This wireless seeks to provide wireless data, voice, and Internet-access services via high-frequency radio waves. Begun in Poland, it competes against established telecom firms in every country it wants to break into. My guess is that Formus may get a footprint for its services in Eastern Europe more than Western Europe since too many rivals with more capital are in the West. Per-share price for FMUS undetermined yet.
