Exactly. This is the counter to your original argument that all new grads are heading to .coms to get rich quick. That may be true now but tech employment isn't always so robust. If eventually the bubble bursts grads will continue to be attracted to the big names that can deliver solid futures for them. Right now, I agree this is a problem for MSFT, though it's no less a problem for ORCL, SUNW, et. al.

P.S. to JFD re. instant gratification at least for me it's deeper than that. If the whole market were heading south taking MSFT with it, no problem, been there done that many times. What's irking us "impatient" lot is that the market's been on a big upward leg for months and MSFT hasn't participated. You could have bought the stock at nearly today's price 9 months ago!
