Anyone who has regularly lurked this thread is aware of a "clubby" atmosphere(thus I lifted your "Round Table" remark) and therefore may "enter" with a certain amount of trepidation or "attitude"

The reason everyone keeps telling us that we are the best thread around is because what you have said above is true, to some degree.

1) Ya gatta pay your dues and RTFM. We are not going to "teach the course" to everyone who shows up here. We had to put out some effort before we started posting here. Let them do the same.

2) The "Clubby" atmosphere promotes civility, one of the most lacking qualities on other threads.

3) There are some posters on SI who do not like some, or all, of us on this thread. They attempt to "Bait" us, or send someone new to "Bait" us. We are aware that this is going on, and we try not to waste much time with such people.

4) We have seen too many threads ruined by new people coming in and taking over to let it happen to us.

5) Yeah, you had better "know your onions" when you show up here. We will treat you with civility, but we do not suffer fools gladly!

6) I have used the "plural" in answering your posts. There are probably some "Knights" on this thread who do not agree with me.

Gosh, that would be a surprise! :0)
