Orion,

So you sparked my curiosity! Here's the link to Kingston's RIMMs for sale for the Dell XPS 'B' Series:

ec.kingston.com

Not cheap, though:

700Mhz 128M w/ ECC = $1,029
700Mhz 256M w/ ECC = $2,015
800Mhz 128M w/ ECC = $1,108
800Mhz 256M w/ ECC = $2,172

We gotta get these prices down.

In comparison, their prices for SDRAM for the Dimension XPS T750r were $400 for the 128M DIMM and $756 for the 256M DIMM (non-ECC).

Dave

p.s. I also checked the Crucial Technologies site (Crucial is a Micron subsidiary). Not only didn't they have RIMMs for sale, but in an article about DDR vs RDRAM (accessible from the search page), they said that RDRAM had higher latency and explained it as data from RIMMs having to go via a longer path to the chipset and compared it to a car going a roundabout way to its destination at 20MPH on a 70MPH freeway (RIMMS) versus one going a direct route to its destination at 5MPH on a 50MPH surface street (DDR). Even though you went faster on the freeway, you got to your destination faster by going direct.
