Good news for DELL
- big drop in COMPAQ commercial PC's.

Disappointing news for COMPAQ
- slight drop in Enterprise - perhaps YK2 related?

Good news for COMPAQ
- big rise in consumer PC's.

WS conclusion so far:

overall better profits than expected on better revenues than expected.

The drop in revenues year over year can be spun - PROFIT before Revenues!

But far short of Pfeiffer's target of $50 billion revenues in year 2000.
