Can anyone help me on this problem?

I just purchased a ASUS P5A Super 7 Pentium board for a system I am building for a friend.

asus.com

Everything went fine. I installed win98 second edition on it and got all drivers installed, ie for monitor, AGP Xpert card and the like. The problem is that the PCI serial controller driver does not want to be installed. I've presumed that the driver should come from Win98 second edition cd rom. But to no avail nothing is happening. I tried the CD rom that came with the motherboad but nothing happened there either.

I also have made sure that the latest bios is installed as well.

The only other thing I can think of is the ASUS driver section but I wonder if any would apply to my problem. COuld anyone with more experience have a quick peek and see if any would apply to my pci serial controller issue. Thank you very much.

If none of the above applies, what could be the solution be. Should the PCI serial control driver be fairly generic?
