I think he is hoping that you will see that when a quiet stock suddenly gets hot, many people unfamiliar with the stock are likely to check message boards for some quick information.
Posts like yours may give the impression, however unintended, that the stock, and perhaps biotech in general, are foolish buys.
The gentleman with the eyeglass specialist friend has a reputation for deep analysis and understanding of biotech companies, and when he is in interested in a company, my own interest level is likely to increase. I'm happy to say that I did pick up some NRGN last week, and even happier that I've invested in some of his favorite companies, e.g., VRTX, REGN, and NBIX, in the recent past.
