I completely agree with you, since I agree with everything, that Linux and Solaris occupy different portions of the same spectrum, they will always do so despite IBM's bogus PR releases, and they play very well together. I think Sun is putting out that message and I think it's a great message. Last time I heard, Sun was even doing some work to advance binary compatibility, whether on SPARC or x86 (where SCO already did it) or both I don't know.

Sun's Linux and "Open Stuff" strategy may appear clear to you, maybe the problem is that it just isn't very clear to me. I can't see SCSL scaling across the whole software industry.
