There's an article in today's IBD that I think is of interest to shareholders in this company.

Large-cap stocks dominated Wall Street for much of the past five years. But last year, small-cap stocks sprang back to life as the Russell 2000 rose 32% from its March 23 low to Dec. 31.

Joe Frohna, who manages $143 million Firstar MicroCap Fund with Earl DeLaet, expects the small-cap rally to continue.

"I think we're now on the cusp of a multiyear outper-formance cycle in the small-cap sector," Frohna, 35, said. "A year ago, you couldn't give these stocks away. Now a lot of people are looking at the space thinking there's some pretty good value there on a relative basis compared with the large-cap stocks."

Frohna and DeLaet, 37, look for companies with a market capitalization of $250 million or less. Of these companies, they seek a minimum sales and earnings growth rate of 20%.

Frohna and DeLaet also want to see at least 10% management ownership in a micro-cap company before they'll consider buying the stock. Frohna has found from looking at his past mistakes that a 1% to 2% stake by a company's management team isn't big enough to heavily influence the decisions it makes.

"It seems where these guys really have a lot on the line, they tend to make better decisions," he said. "It's amazing what money will do."
