Gary and Tom,
The Michigan legislature began debate on their gaming law yesterday, sometimes referred to as Proposal E. The Republicans introduced their version, and the Democrats will put forth a competing proposal on Tuesday. Both recommend numerous changes to the original proposal passed by the electorate in November. Included is a proposal by the Republicans to eliminate the preference given to two operators for the 3 available licenses in Detroit. Democrats favor the preference.

Why should CSNR stockholders care? Because word has it that once Proposal E is debated, resolved, and passed, then the Indian gaming compact will be brought up and pushed through for approval. We're gonna be on hold until then, but progress is being made.
