Since you seem to "be in the know", I have a few questions.

First, I am new to the thread so please forgive my ignorance. As a shareholder of Diebold, does the VFI-HP merger bode well for them or against them?

Smartcards are the way of the future - who will set the standard or will there be a standard (like WinTel) with many suppliers of software (Novell, IBM) and hardware (Compaq, HP, Dell)?
