Thank you for responding. Let me reply to you, in turn, from the "new" Classic site.
1) Clubhouses. Well, 6 posts were all there were. But they were compendious posts, for the most part. The problem is that a number of them cannot be accessed at all. Click on two of them, and you will get this message:
Document Not Found
That document is no longer at this location. If you think you've found a broken link on the Silicon Investor web site, please let us know at webmaster@techstocks.com. Otherwise head back to Silicon Investor and give it another go 'round.
Click on another, and all you will get is SI's home page (?!). And so forth.
Speaking practically: how can we get these posts restored? And something is weird about the layout. Don't know what exactly, but the Clubhouse just doesn't look the way it used to.
2) You say: With respect to the search features that you mentioned. Those features already exist in the new site. They did not, however, get added to *all* of the appropriate pages in the Classic SI Format Option.
Excuse me. They already exist on the old site. They originally were dropped from the new site. The "search this thread only" button was later restored, although last I checked it did not always function correctly. I still do not see any "posts by this poster only" search button anywhere on the profiles on the new site! Am I looking in the wrong place? Have you moved it to some jazzy new spot?
3) As to "Clubhouse's." I did not suggest you should have used an apostrophe to indicate the plural, which would, of course, have been quite wrong. On the contrary: I was tweaking you for (inadvertently, of course) using an apostrophe in the following sentence, in your original post:
...we can (and will) leave the old Clubhouse's
up and running, even after we shut down the old SI site.
Let's just call it a typo, given the fact that you used the plural "Clubhouses" correctly in the rest of the post. ;>))
