interesting industry info from the ERTS conf call: They shared lots of TRSTS data for the year 1999. * console / handheld market up 21% in 1999 * mostly gameboy and dreamcast driven * N64 down 7% for 1999 (-14% in nov, -19% in december) * psx software units +24%, psx software $$$ +11% (lower ASP, clearly) * gb 14% of 1999 market vs 6% in 1998 (thats a 182% increase year over year - thats my math) * dreamcast 5% of market * erts had 8.5% of n64 market in 1999 (had 6% in 98) Sony's Playstation Forecast: Expect to have 11-12 million by year end; 5 million in japan, 3.5-4 million in U.S., 2.5-3 million europe. Current line is 15-20 psx titles available for japanese launch, erts expects it may be more like 12-15. Chris
