Not even asking permission, just moving it here (this is in response to Gary on the DWA thread) -- Patrick won't mind since he started the whole "time" thing anyway -- he's going to love it if we're on his turf!

Response to Gary:

I'm not sure what chart you're looking at Gary, -- the DWA YHOO chart just has a column of Os to 318. I see no buy signals on the daily chart for Jan 24, 2000.

The 1 minute 0.5 box chart has at least 2 playable ones, one at 324 on a double top breakout from a double bottom support area with a stop at 322.5 and the other on a bullish catapult at 335.5 with a stop at 334.5 (or thereabouts, people play catapults differently). I put up the relevant part on my web site: pnfcharts.com

Again this is just an example of how charts change based on sample frequency, and in no way do I want to suggest that daytrading is for everyone, quite the contrary as OJ will attest to night and day if you let him. I find it much easier to just buy on support on a daily chart also, and am only participating in this conversation because you asked and it would be rude to ignore :-).

G'nite,

-Atin
