I saw an 800 MHz Pentium III system at my local Fry's last week. It's an HP system going for $2,600. Now how can that be, given that Intel's 800 MHz launch was just a "phantom announcement"?

You should have bought it....they are very rare. I understand that the Smithsonian will pay $10,000 for one :~)
