ILNK: Global Crossing Tried To Buy...... by: Glotech 1/13/00 4:39 pm Msg: 17687 of 17694 ..........I-Link last year. Instead of buying I-Link, they bid and finally bought "Frontier" for a hefty price. Around the same time frame, Jonh Edwards met Mark Hewitt at Frontier. And sold him on I-Link's technology and its future opportunity. As you know, Mark Hewitt is with I-Link as their Sr. Vice President of Marketing and Business Development. Mark Hewitt turned down a Senior VP position with Global Crossing in favor of I-Link. Mark Hewitt is responsible for some of the strategic changes at I-Link. Going forward, we expect to hear a lot more from him.... and about his contribution to I-Link's Network deployment, product developmet, and sales and marketing initiatives.
