HBO.com Teams With Net Perceptions to Deliver Personal Movie
Recommendations Online

MINNEAPOLIS, Jan. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Net Perceptions Inc. (Nasdaq: NETP - news) announced today that it has signed an agreement with Home Box Office
(HBO) to help establish the network's online properties as destinations of choice for people seeking personalized entertainment recommendations and information.

Net Perceptions will work with HBO's Interactive Ventures team to create an ``entertainment advisor' for both HBO.com and Cinemax.com. Based on users'
interests and viewing habits, the application will allow them to find personalized movie recommendations among Hollywood films appearing on HBO and Cinemax,
as well as those in theaters or available on video. In addition to recommendations, the new feature will alert consumers via e-mail about upcoming programs on
HBO and Cinemax based on their previous selections.
