Is content a significant issue? Solid, the above is a rhetorical question and not directed to you personally, but your post and link below exemplifies the overblown issue content has become: msnbc.com Now click on this link and view the difference: oposite.stsci.edu Notice, click on a picture and you have full screen pictures. You don't have the MSNBC Logo and all those gaudy advertisements around the picture. And you have the complete library of Hubble Space Telescope Public Pictures available to you. The only point I'm attempting to communicate is, is it possible that most users over time will move from being "spoon fed by portals" and will prefer to go direct to the site as in the Hubble Space Telescope example above?. And when this occurs, what happens to the "page views" business model of all these pseudo content sites? And then, will the pseudo content dollars invested continue to be justified?
