Do you know when QCOM's key CDMA patents (the one's nobody that does CDMA can do without) expire? Patents have a 17 year lifetime. If you think that most of QCOM's earnings will have to come from IPR in the future, this is vital information.

It's very tough on a company relying on IPR alone. There are literally millions of very smart techies around the world attacking your IPR constantly and trying to bypass it, especially if its very profitable.

QCOM MUST prove that it can maintain its dominance in chips and software, in addition to its IPR, if it hopes to maintain and expand its current valuation.
