Providing Echo Cancellation for Teleglobe's GlobeSystem Initiative
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Jan. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Ditech Communications Corporation (Nasdaq: DITC) today announced it has signed a five year contract with Teleglobe (NYSE: TGO; Toronto: TGO), a leading global provider of broadband services with the most extensive Internet backbone in the world. Under the terms of the agreement, Ditech will provide echo cancellation products to support Teleglobe's GlobeSystem(TM) network expansion plan. Launched in May 1999, the $5 billion GlobeSystem project builds upon Teleglobe's existing global network to interconnect 160 major markets around the world and significantly accelerate Teleglobe's already fast growing Internet and carrier business.
