THE CANADIAN MINING COMPANY

January 24, 2000

The Canadian Mining Company Ltd. ("C.N.A") reports the company has received the final twenty six page, Diamond Drilling Report and Resource Calculation on the Zeo Claim Group prepared by Mr. John Jenks - P. Geo (B.C.). Mr. Jenks specifies these properties provide the basis for a myriad of potential industrial uses including: radioactive waste, sewage effluent, agricultural waste water, stockyard waste, oil spills, oxygen production, stackgas clean up, coal gasification, natural gas purification, solar energy use, agricultural hydrometallurgy, as a fertilizer, animal nutritional supplement, a filler in paper production, medicine, construction (light weight aggregates), and as a filler in pesticides. The development of commercial applications is ongoing in North America and in its' infancy, unlike Japan, where Zeolites have been extensively utilized for many years.

Mr. Jenks concludes the 1999 drilling program of only 1019 feet on the Zeo Group successfully defined a proven and probable resource of 861,528 metric tons. The Cation Exchange Analysis was consistently high, averaging between 95 and 130 C.E.C. Mr. Jenks indicates sufficient resources have been drill-defined for immediate needs and he has developed a drill program for future expansion. Canadian Mining under reclamation permit MX - 15 - 154 has the approval for the extraction of a 10,000 tonne bulk sample of Zeolite for marketing and testing purposes, which facilitates Canadian Mining's production requirement for Spring 2000.

In further news Canadian Mining announces that Select Sand Sod Ltd., operated by Mr. John Whitehead has become the company's first distributor in the Fraser Valley, B.C. Select Sand Sod Ltd. was established in 1989 and has an extensive customer base including golf courses throughout Western Canada, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, California and Utah. Select offers the golf industry various varieties of Mature Bentgrass Golf Green Turf and will be an asset in introducing Zeolite to its' many customers. Select has received its' first 29 skids of processed Zeolite for retail warehousing.

New applications are being found for the use of Zeolites every month. We are at the beginnings of a very dynamic period of development for Canadian Mining Company Ltd. and will be enhancing the company's management, sales and marketing team to aggressively pursue the business opportunities that lay ahead.

The environment and ecology are the wave of the new millenium, we are very confident that the sales opportunities will grow exponentially with worldwide attention being focused on those companies that are part of the solution and those that are part of the problem. Canadian Mining Company Ltd. will be recognized as an environmentally friendly company that will champion the cause of cleaner air, water and soil.
