Mike - I also think I heard in the conf call that SGI made a big sale of new graphics systems to Pixar.

As for Toy story, etc. I think you have to look at each company's product cycles. Sun has historically made changes to their product line incrementally which I believe is in the best interest of steady (non roller-coaster) growth patterns. When Toy Story was produced, my guess is that Sun had a less expensive new product competing with an older SGI product. A lot of my customers moved to NT boxes because they were less expensive solutions for their apps to SGI. SGI on the other hand redesigned their entire product line in the past year so the tables have turned.

As for evaluating the products, I can compare SGI to NT graphics boxes but I'm no expert here. There are however other people on this thread that can compare SGI with everything else in the graphics arena. I do feel comfortable comparing Sun and HP server products to the new SGI stuff and as you know from previous posts, I'm quite optimistic that SGI is going to give them a run for their money.

Regards
Jeff
