Jimmy, Re:"jerry's blunders" Well we may well be seeing another one. I keep hearing this crap that AMD could ship 1Ghz Athlons if they wanted - even if only in modest quantities. If so we are seeing the BIGGEST MARKETING BLUNDER of all time. here's the set up: It's the time-out before the 2nd half kick off on super-bowl game. The first ad out of the shoot: is for the worlds fastest CPU - 1Ghz Athlon from (ideally IBM but Compaq will do fine). 1Ghz in 2000 available NOW only from AMD. It needs to be a kick ass ad. Worst case it will cost $3-5M. A small price to pay to really JOLT the market that AMD is now a LEADER and not just an Intel follower. It would help tremedously to shatter pre-conceptions about AMD - just like the mac ad of 84. Lets hope we can get beyond the cat & mouse stuff going on currently. regards, Kash
