Morgan, I thought you might enjoy this bit of nostalgia from my write-up on Amy's WITC coverage from last summer: Bear Stearns' Amy Butte appears to have adopted some internet valuation religion via BSC's internet analysts. That's in sharp contrast to her conservative valuations of NITE while at Merrill Lynch. She's been more proactive on this name than her competitor, probably because she hopes to gain a higher profile. We think the analyst is not successful in presenting as compelling a case for WITC as she might like. If WITC were as wonderful as suggested, maybe Butte should be working there. (07/28/99)
