Mikesloan,
You obviously can not defend your own position so you use somebody else's post! Calling me a crock! Also a sign of great intelligence from your part Mike, well done!

This is an excerpt of O/49r's post that you told me to read:
"The lack of independent-audit-early-in-the-game was a calculated risk/decision that ALL e&d players have to make...Do we spend money on actual drilling, or big bucks on consultants and outsiders which cost more??? Since money comes usually from outsiders in these cases, it's easier to justify actual drilling than expensive auditors early on."

"My wallet is grateful, how'bout yours????
O/49r"

Hey wake up mikesloan! if Bre-X new that the deposit what "unusual" and that special techniques had to be used to evaluate it's gold content; why didn't they invest some money into an independent audit?
Walsh called the Busang ore body "complex," and said "full understanding" of its nature is necessary to evaluate it.
Walsh said an early round of assay tests, conducted at different laboratories, showed "wide variances" in gold values. (he said that on April 1st )

They new well that Freeport could have problems doing their DD.

If Bre-X would have invested in an independent audit their stock would have survived better the "insignificant gold" report from Freeport and a lot of small shareholders would NOT have gotten margin calls!!! Ever thought about that?

"O/49r's wallet is gratefull!" How about the people who got margin calls following the March 27th debacle? Are their wallet's grateful? Is your wallet grateful mikesloan?

A few millions invested in an independent audit earlier on would have saved all the small investors from this mess!

Think about that mikesloan,

Regards,

Pahww
