i think you are right about where it should be trading some day fairly soon. but i think it means that BCE shareholders will receive about 1/2 a billion shares of nt, with a current market value of about $50 billion, and the market is concerned that a number of them may take the profit. it's a shock that suddenly a large group of individuals can make decisions about whether to sell almost 38% of the outstanding shares rather than one old stodgy company.
