VCALL INTERVIEW ANALYSIS... by: cwnews 1/26/00 4:54 pm Msg: 33783 of 33811 Of all the many interesting things Mr. Bonar had to say, I think by far and away the most important were these four:
1. While California court rules and the desire of Greylord to keep mum on details pending final inking of a financing deal preclude comment on current talks to end the receivership, he is highly optimistic that the deal is struck in principle and that the negotiated removal of the receiver is very near.
2. ITEC products are the "standard of the industry" and highly regarded by the marketplace. Long time suppliers and customers are very understanding and are prepared, once the receiver is removed, to IMMEDIATELY begin shipping product. Existing relationships with OEMs are strong and well developed (especially mentioned Apple) and will continue apace. While many customer and licensing relationships have been announced, a number of other significant new ones are pending.
3. Dealseekers.com is very much alive and is expected to be a key revenue producer for the company.
4. This one just sort of snuck through, but I think it was THE bombshell: he said almost in passing that when the receiver is gone, ITEC WILL "PURSUE A STRATEGIC PARTNER" IN MOVING FORWARD IN THE MARKETPLACE. This is a flat out announcement of seeking a buyout, joint venture or merger partner, in my opinion. Again, because of legal restraints, he couldn't elaborate, but my belief is that "informal" or "theoretical" talks have already been held, and once the receiver's gone, ITEC will move very quickly to conclude such a deal.
Translation of all of this: VERY GOOD NEWS FOR THE COMPANY AND THE STOCK. Just a little more patience.
All of this IMHO. |
