CNBC report of CC with Tom Meredith, Dell CFO: Revs to be 6.7 bil. vs. 7.0 to 7.5. Earnings 16 cents vs. 21 forecast. half billion shortfall due to slow rebound from Y2K. Rebounding now but it's a little late for this quarter. 300 million shortfall due to uneven receipt of semiconductor orders. Didn't say what kind of chips, but said they substituted in more expensive chips when they could get them. Thatsit. Tony
