Normally, I'd say that AMD was much more the target that Transmeta here, Intel would be leaving a lot of money on the table to fight a part that won't ship for 6 months. These days, though, who knows what Intel is doing? We got this story from the Register:

Intel cancels Pentium III supplies for February theregister.co.uk

Plus Mikey Dell misses earnings, by a pretty good margin, because even he can't get the parts. Intel cutting prices by 50% on parts they're having trouble shipping? Or maybe the mobile parts are much easier to make. Or maybe Intel's just lost it.
