I was in now way questioning the efficacy of smart cards. What my question was meant to ask was whether in your judgement the Q would need to modify its chips and software to make the use of those cards possible in CDMA phones.

Since the phones were modified for the VOD overlay test, that would seem to indicate that smart cards and CDMA are compatible - but still curious what (if anything) the Q would have to do to make that happen in commercial operating use - again to the innards - clearly the current CDMA phone form factor would have to be modified.
