I will continue to short the REFRs and GUMMs of the world...but remember that several of my past shorts took two or three years and many squeezes before they paid off in a big way.

With a tidal wave of money flooding the small and micro caps, it is going to get a lot more difficult. Consider that a company like REFR has been chugging along for the good part of half a century without delivering a penny in revenues. If a chunk of the stock will now be parked in a bunch of funds, they can simply continue to play the press release game for many more years - but perhaps the baseline price for the stock will continue to hover at much higher levels.
