ASD Systems Focuses on Future With New Chief Information Officer; Industry Veteran Gregg Young Latest Addition to ASD Systems' Management Team

GARLAND, Texas, Jan. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- ASD Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: ASDS), a provider of e-commerce software and infrastructure, today announced the appointment of Gregg L. Young as ASD's Chief Information Officer. With nearly two decades of technology and operations experience, including significant positions in e-commerce and Internet technology, Mr. Young will have a leadership role as ASD emphasizes its focus on client support and satisfaction to meet the rapidly evolving needs of the e-commerce industry. Mr. Young will head vital initiatives to ensure that ASD Systems strengthens its client implementation processes and has the technical resources to support its expanding sales structure. In his role as Chief Information Officer, Mr. Young will be a key member of the Company's team that will evaluate strategic investment and/or acquisition opportunities.

Over the course of his career, Mr. Young has developed and led successful business strategies encompassing e-commerce and Internet technology, as well as call center and fulfillment operations -- all critical components of ASD Systems' business model. In his last position as Chief Information Officer at Softbank Services Group, Mr. Young managed the technology and communications selection, development and implementation process for the company's e-commerce, call center, fulfillment and distribution operations. Prior to that, he held several key information systems management positions for such organizations as West Telemarketing Corporation, Radisson Hotels International (where he was responsible for their international reservation systems), and Fitz and Floyd, a design, import and distribution company.
