Sonki. I am also still using the old SI. I have downloaded the new SI but I am not fond of that change.

Did you receive the PM from Silicon Investor on the 24th? They have been sending monthly or bimonthly messages on the new SI progress.

I just read the last message again and it says that bookmarks of old posts etc. you have in your browser should go automatically through to the new SI. They are still working on this. I believe that's what they are trying to say. We have until the 7th of FEB to switch over to the new SI. I will work on it come FEB 1st. I am not sure if we can save all those old posts. Maybe the ones that already use the new SI will help us out here. Sonki. Let us know if you get if fig. out before I get to it in case nobody gives us an answer here.

Dell. Yes, this is a mess. I was talking to Ann earlier today about dead money and then Dell announced this earnings shortfall. Sheesh. Frank sold in instinet. I am not set up for that. I use a discount broker that does not deal in after hours, I believe. I guess I will ask Frank how he sold in after hours. Probably through his full service broker. I am almost glad that I don't have instinet at this time. I probably would have sold all of my Dell. This gives me more time to think about which way I want to go. Your way is probably the best way. Sell part of the holdings. I had mentioned this in one of my earlier posts. Dell is at 36 something. I can't see it go much lower. Any idea what the PE is right now? They seem to be working with a 30% earnings growth for the next sev. years. I guess those big big growth years are over. 50%+ sev. qtrs. ago, then in the 40's and now in the 30's. Still not a bad growth rate. I hate decisions like these. I thought Dell had said a while ago that Y2K would not affect them much or was I dreaming? They also mentioned shortage of components. GTW was suffering supposedly because of not getting enough stuff from Intel and Dell is supposedly on Intel's favored list for shipments. What has been going on? But Dell said they could not sell enough or at least not until it was too late for this qtr, so what has a shortage to do with it? I will read up on it some more before tomorrow.

Sonny
