Vic-- I see the HWP statement as how a normal company takes care of business. It may help them but the sector will still be hit. The street believes no one can do as well as DELL so if DELL sux the rest must be worse. HWP is not known as a boxmaker like DELL and CPQ. They are also known for printers and services.
Your resoning for cpq not to follow is not 100% correct. It actually takes 3 months for the PR dept to write something and MC be able to say it. Face it, cpq says little good or bad and what is said is not presented always in a professional manner. If we were going to be required to have an OJT CEO as no one would take the job I would rather have seen our own Rudedog in the job,, The recent BS on the cfo position is just that. Most CFOs with the qualifications that cpq wants would believe they should be CEO instead,,,
