>>I got a winfall from Waterhouse today! <<
I have an account at Waterhouse. They're really nice on the phone, their executions are good, and they have an appealing Website but here are my frustrations compared with my Schwab account:1) Slow order confirmation at times. today, for example, I placed a limit order on JDSU, for next 15 minutes (after which I quit trying) it didn't even show under order status as open, filled, or even there. Called them and was told yeah, order confirmation was slow - didn't show under the brokers system either. Now, if you're in a fast moving market.... It must be a semiregular event because they post a sign in big red letters warning you NOT to replace the order just because you don't see it executed or open under order status (a sign which is absent at Schwab). I gave up. Got home 3 hours later and my limit order was executed and posted. 2)No "on the fly" update of current account balances and positions - have to wait till they update at MN.
