Miklosh.. ecellent thoughts.. this would be a synthetic long..sell the put and take the proceeds and buy the calls... i do this all the time...it's a FREE trade!!!! you take advantage of the knockdown on the news, then play the long side for the expected run up... you have it exactly right...and more importantly..doing this with LEAPS makes you feel CALM because of the time factor... good luck...
