Rashid, let me see if I can communicate more effectively. First let me say I have come to realize the more I understand (about life, market, etc) the less I know. The statement on my SI profile may say it best: "I thought I had seen it all.....Until the market opened today."
What I meant was not the difference between investors and traders that has to do with investment preference. IMO, the difference between investors/traders and gamblers is, gamblers buy a stock without a reason (other than its going up)and do it to satisfy the psychological need to be right, greed is just the by product. Investors/traders are business people who approach it based on a system of beliefs (flawed or not) only to obtain a profit while preserving capital at all costs. A traders/investor without capital are unemployed, a gambler without money will take unreasonable risks to find a way to continue.
