American Software mulling AmQUEST spinoff
NEW YORK, Jan 25 (Reuters) - American Software (NasdaqNM:AMSWA - news) on Tuesday said it is mulling a public offering of shares of its AmQUEST subsdiary, a provider of Internet infrastructure services to the Application Services Provider market.

The Application Services Provider (ASP) market is for software products which clients rent off the Internet rather than installing versions on their own personal computers.

AmQUEST has an established client portfolio, which includes ASPs, Systems Integrators, Network Service Providers, and other leading corporations, American Software said.

Shares of American Software rose 1-7/16 to 13-11/16 on Tuesday morning.
