i am writing to complain about a situation you may know about, an incident on the infamous clowns thread where some nasty insulting took place. among other things, a word that starts with s and rhymes with hut was used in one of the exchanges. i would like to know why you tolerate this on si, and further why the individual who said this was not suspended.

i am advising too that a terrific si friend has left that thread because of the exchange and perhaps has even left si.

as mentioned, i'd like an explanation.
