I'm just getting around to listening to the conference call. I was particularly amused when Meredith stated that "we have always known that Y2K would have an effect" and then went on to say that they just thought that January would make up for it.

Talk about your revisionist history. Typical of Dell management, there is a problem, and rather than admitting the problem, they hope that the growth rate can bail them out. The times are changing, and it's about time that management starts being a little more straightforward with the owners of the company.
