BCE Emergis Chosen By FBC Valuation Services - First project in
Canada to automate appraisal delivery services on a national scale

Montreal, Quebec-- January 27, 2000

BCE Emergis announced today that it has been selected to
implement a suite of electronic appraisal delivery services for
FBC Valuation Services. FBC is Canada's largest national
appraisal management company and is a division of Trilon
Financial Corporation (TSE: TFCA). With this agreement, FBC
enhances its ability to send appraisal orders and status reports,
and receive completed appraisals, all in electronic format, from
a national network of several hundred appraisers via a secure
Internet link managed exclusively by BCE Emergis.

"With our volumes set to almost triple to 100,000 appraisals in
2000 from 35,000 in 1999, partnering with a major service
provider like BCE Emergis is a key component of our strategy.
They provide the necessary infrastructure to handle these complex
applications on a national scale," said Terry McLean, VP National
Valuation Services at FBC.

"This project with FBC marks our first initiative of this kind in
Canada and further extends our reach in the North American
financial and mortgage markets," said Robert Habert, Vice
President and General Manager, Mortgage Services, BCE Emergis.
"BCE Emergis has already established itself as a major provider
in the electronic delivery of business-to-business information to
the U.S. mortgage industry. This strategic partnership with
Canada's leading appraisal management company positions us as the
dominant provider of these services to the Canadian real-estate
industry."

Under the terms of the agreement, BCE Emergis will ensure the
security and handle the end-to-end flow of electronic documents
between all trading partners. It will also provide a wide range
of value-added features such as order alert, delivery
certification, order acceptance and the continuous monitoring of
the communications infrastructure.

FBC Valuation Services, based in Calgary, Alberta, is Canada's
largest appraisal management firm. The company specializes in the
electronic delivery of appraisals, and offers a wide range of
real-estate information products to financial institutions.
