Tom. I have to chuckle a bit - "chuckle, chuckle". All your talk about backing up is a bit strange to me. Oh, I back my document files up. But I've never had a reason to back up my entire hard disk. Having worked with Macs since 1986, I've only seen two unrecoverable disk crashes - and the last one happened before the turn of the decade.

Anyway, the real reason I'm replying to your message is that I actually generate monstrous singular graphic data files and would dearly love to get a Jaz disc. I've only seen 4 in the Denver area in the last month; and they were all internals. I could get one from a mail-order house (and I may) but I don't trust them to have disk drives to send and would prefer to keep my money in my own bank until I can lay my hands on a real drive.

Gosh, I would have thought there would be a lot of Jaz drives in the stores by now.
