DELL. . . issues serious earnings warning. . . UPGRADED by 5 major brokers. . . Why?

If you don't know the answer to this, then you have not been paying attention. . . and need to read through some of our archives.

These brokers were caught holding long. . . . and are in FEAR that the stock will sell-off on this bad news. . .and sure enough, it was trading down 3 in after hours. But by issuing simultaneous upgrades, they can manipulate the price higher or "prop" it up long enough to dump into the buying they create.

This is a common practice, which is "accepted" by the SEC. . . .but take note. . . .if YOU issue your own upgrade on Dell, for the purpose of dumping into the buying you create. . . .there are now nearly 200 federal securities agents watching these online message boards. . . ready to pounce on you for manipulation. . .

Same thing goes for downgrading vs. bashing . . .for the purpose of buying lower. . .or short-selling. When professional brokerage houses , anal-ysts and other brokers do it. . .it is acceptable. . . when individuals do it, it is a securities violation.

I believe we need a voice in Washington.

Just a quick morning rant.
