Spectra-Physics has big fat lasers, not the small microns needed to be competitive in the telecom space. (This from talking to folks at the conference.) Someone can explain this in technical terms.

They've not focused on telecom and are now adding products to meet this fast-growing market.

Have you noticed SDL is 4 pts away from all-time high????
